Just prior to the Carolina Core's Week 2-2 win over New York 3D on de_season, the team met up with x3o on the same map for their Week 2-1 match. However, the result was not the same as x3o, led by a monstrous performance from AZK, took down the previously undefeated Core. AZK finished the match with a +17 kill/death ratio, a number not often seen these days with the max rounds 12 rule set. Despite the loss, Carolina is still standing strong in third place with a 3-1 record, while x3o is in the middle of the pack at 2-2.

Hyper and Devastation began their Week 2-1 match-up last Thursday, with Hyper dominating their CT side 9-3. When Devastation took over on CT, the team began to rally for a much-needed comeback, going up 2-0 just before Devastation's CheEkz got disconnected. They postponed the remainer of the second half until Monday night, but in Counter-Strike, momentum can shift or disappear in mere seconds... delay a match three days, and you throw any momentum straight out the window.
Devastation picked up the match down by four rounds and had a slight advantage as CT, but they weren't able to pick up their lost momentum or recover from the deficit, eventually losing 13-7. Both Hyper and Devastation are in the bottom-four of the standings at 1-3.
